Its been a while...!

Ive been really busy this last year with work so I have really neglected this blog! My new years resolution (one of many!!) is to blog every day! I love the idea of translating all my ideas into the physical world, but in reality it is much more complicated than I think it is! I'll do my best!!

Seeing as it has just been christmas and we are probably all excited about what beauties the winter sales will bring us I thought I would post about that! And pop in a few of my most treasured Christmas presents!!

I'm a bit of a makeup geek and could spend hours watching tutorials online, and spending all my hard earned £££ in M.A.C so when my mum asked what I wanted for christmas I knew EXACTLY what I wanted!
M.A.C holiday 2010 collection is so cute! The tartan packaging, black pvc and gold studded detailing was just too much for me to handle and I knew I had to get SOMETHING!!
I ended up with the 'A Lady And Her Tricks' buff and line brush collection.

...and the '5 sassy pink lip glass' set, which comes in a cute little tartan tin.

Both the sets are really cute and I couldnt wait to transfer the contents of my old dirty makeup bag into the cute little tartan one. The bag is a really nice size, not too big for your handbag but not so small that you cant fit all your essentials in it. It also comes with a long PVC strap incase you want to use it as a shoulder bag. The brushes themselves are the perfect size for travelling. I only own full size M.A.C brushes and find them abit of an awkward size if I need them for a night out! They are of course just short handled versions of the brushes that are in their permanent range so are of equaly good quality.
The lipglasses are nice too and would fit in your pocket perfectly on a night out. I think both sets are really good value for money, especialy considering that a M.A.C makeup brush can cost anything up to £35!! I will definitely be heading back to my local store to purchase a few more bits from this collection before it is sold out!!

I went sale shopping today and came back with a few things. I am a bit stingey when it comes to clothes shopping and will only splash out on something if I really want it and it will last me a life time, so I really love sale shopping. I do however find the entire process extremely stressful and will only go if a). I am alone!! and b). I have enough energy to elbow people out the way when I am rummaging through a rail!!

I managed to come today with 3 things! The first I dont currently have photos of so an attempt at a description will have to do!
The first was a top from Zara that is a brown/camel shade and is one of the slouchy, cropped style t-shirts. It has brown 'leather effect' shoulder panelling and pocket and was not in the sale!
The second is something that I am really excited about! I went into River Island to buy some shoes and came across a small basket of jewellery. It was all thrown into see through bags and labelled 'broken jewellery' and '50p'. Now for someone who regulary makes jewellery and accessories out of broken and vintage jewellery this was possibly the most exciting thing that could of happened me to that day. I proceeded in rummaging through the basket, grabbing almost all of it and cradling it in my arms! I could not of been more excited! You will not understand my excitement until I post photos! I spent in all, £3.75!! Im guessing that there was about £60 worth, if not more.

The third purchase was a pair of heels. They are not a style that I would usualy go for, I much prefer a boot or a shoe boot, think Jeffrey Campbell! But for some reason these have appealed to me from the first time I saw them a few weeks back. I put off buying them because I just wasnt sure, but then I thought, I dont have any black courts, which always come in handy for formal occasions ect, and seeing as I dont really do 'formal' or 'smart' these would be a good compromise! They have a platform and rubber sole so are actualy suprisingly easy to walk in!

I will try and get pics of the other things I bought tonight!
